For Public
The Shadows-on-the-Teche Plein Air Competition takes places in early March. Artists from around the country travel to New Iberia to compete in the juried painting competition. Artists are allowed to paint throughout seven parishes in Acadiana. The public is invited to attend programs and events scheduled during the week, as well as watch artists paint. Unless otherwise mentioned, ALL PROGRAMS ARE FREE TO ATTEND.

SATURDAY, MARCH 9
3 p.m. — Quick Draw in downtown New Iberia
SUNDAY, MARCH 10
5 p.m. — Meet & Greet at the Bayou Carlin Cove Pavilion in Delcambre (605 S. Railroad Street, Delcambre)
TUESDAY, MARCH 12
1 p.m. — Painting Demo by Judge John Poon at the Hilliard Art Museum (710 E. St. Mary Blvd., Lafayette)
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13
2:30 p.m. — Art Talk with John Poon at UL-Lafayette
THURSDAY, MARCH 14
2 p.m. — Painting Demo by Judge John Poon in downtown New Iberia
FRIDAY, MARCH 15
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Paint Out in downtown New Iberia
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. — Awards Ceremony & Fine Art Sale at Shadows Visitor Center (320 E. Main St., New Iberia)
SATURDAY, MARCH 16
9:30 a.m. — Coffee with the Judge at Shadows Visitor Center
Paintings on exhibit at Shadows Visitor Center until 4:00 p.m
