• The Shadows is the first National Trust for Historic Preservation site in the Gulf South. The home and garden are as breathtaking as the history preserved here.

The Shadows hosts a variety of private group tours, focusing on specific topics for adult and student groups. Customized tours offer food and beverages in addition to interpretive tours for adults. Both English and French-speaking guides are available for group tours. Reservations are required for groups of 15 or more people and for any special requests.
 
Booking
Advanced scheduling for your trip is required. To book a tour, please call The Shadows at (337) 369-6446 no later than two weeks prior to your anticipated trip date. Group tours can be arranged for times beyond the regular hoursto accomodate the group tour itinerary.
Payment: One payment must be submitted for all group members. Individual payments cannot be accepted. The site accepts cash, VISA, MasterCard, and company/organization checks.
Cancellation: At least a 24-hour notice is appreciated.
Late Arrivals: Groups anticipating a late arrival are requested to call The Shadows to inform staff of their actual arrival time. Reservations are held for 20 minutes. Arrivals after this grace period will be accommodated as time allows.
 
Rates
For groups of 15 or more: $ 8.00 per adult. Tour operators should call for current rates. A complimentary admission per adult group is extended.  For student tours, 1 chaperone is offered complimentary admission for every 10 paid students.
 
Customized Tours
For a minimum of 24 or more paid admissions and with two weeks notice of advanced scheduling, The Shadows offers a variety of customized tours featuring amenities such as:
Wine & Cheese Reception in the Garden
Bloody Marys & Snacks served on the Porch
Coffee & Dessert served in the Gazebo

For a minimum of 24 or more paid student admissions:
Games and Chores of Long Ago are offered for student groups at the rate of $8.50 per student. This includes a tour and 45 minutes of 19th century-based activities for students.
